FRITZ!Box 7330 – Service - Knowledge Base
When making calls, you can hear the number being redialed after other party has already answered
When you make calls, a cordless telephone redials the number of the party you are calling after they have already answered. Both parties can hear the sounds being generated. If an answering machine takes the call, it interprets the sounds made when the number is redialed as commands (for example PIN entry, remote message playback).
Note:The configuration procedure and notes on functions given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for your FRITZ!Box.
1 Cordless telephone does not comply with the DECT standard
The telephone is not fully DECT-GAP-compatible. When a telephone connection has been established, the FRITZ!Box signalizes the "Connect" status to the telephone. This means: "The connection has been established, no further dialing information is required". However, the telephone still redials the number.
Note:DECT-GAP is a common standard for cordless telephones and wireless data transmission. All FRITZ!Fon models support this standard.
- Click "DECT" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click "Base Station" in the "DECT" menu.
- Enable the option "Enable troubleshooting for cordless telephones not compatible with GAP".
- Click "Apply" to save the settings.
