FRITZ!WLAN Repeater N/G – Service

Transmitting audio content to an audio device with FRITZ!WLAN Repeater

You can use the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater's audio output and integrated miniature FM transmitter to transmit any audio content to a conventional playback device. This way you can play the contents of your digital music collection (for example iTunes library) on your stereo system or use your kitchen radio as a receiver and listen to web radio stations with it.

Requirements / Restrictions

  • The repeater allows you to save up to 20 web radio stations. The playlists of the web radio stations must be saved in "pls", "m3u" or "mp3" format and may only contain mp3 streams.
  • Windows 10 / 8 / 7 (64-bit or 32-bit) must be installed on a computer in order to transmit audio content from the computer to an audio device.
  • You must set up a UPnP-AV server in the FRITZ!Box home network in order to transmit audio content from a media server to an audio device.

Note:You can use the FRITZ!Box Media Server or software such as TwonkyMedia, TVersity etc. on your computer as a media server (UPnP-AV server).
